Bina Locks is a family owned Locksmith business established in Canberra 1987 by Peter Bird. Peter saw a need to establish a Locksmith business that catered to the needs of the Architectural Hardware Industry, Peter and his wife Fran came up with the name Bina as a combination of Bird, Peters surname and Nash, Fran’s maiden name.

Peter’s dedication to quality Locksmithing workmanship and his outstanding work ethic soon meant that Bina Locks was established as a go-to company for the Canberra Locksmith and Architectural Hardware Industry.

Peter apprenticed his son Tom as a Locksmith in 1994, he completed his apprenticeship in 1998 and travelled for a while before returning to the family Locksmith business. Tom worked with Peter, before Fran and Peter retired in 2001. Bina Locks began to diversify and now does all types of locksmith work including Commercial, Industrial, Domestic, Automotive and all key cutting in Canberra and its surrounding reigions.

Bina Locks is now owned and operated by Tom Bird and his wife Karen. We have a staff of 5 locksmiths and apprentices, all committed to help secure our clients and their property. Our team of well-respected Locksmith’s are serviced orientated and committed to maximising the Safety and Security of your family, your assets, your staff, your patrons, and your business.
Bina Lock is also an ASIO compliant locksmith and is a member of the Master Locksmith Association. Our services are matched to your specific requirements in conjunction with recommendations from one of our experienced locksmith’s.
